JAPANESE RACING STAR SEINA IMAMURA WITH THIS DETAILED FEMALE JOCKEY COLORING PAGE.
This Seina Imamura coloring page celebrates one of the leading female jockeys in Japanese horse racing. The drawing shows Imamura smiling from the saddle aboard a racehorse, dressed in her racing gear with helmet, goggles, boots, and riding crop.
It is an especially fitting subject in 2026. Imamura made Japanese racing history in May when she rode Juryoku Pierrot to victory in the Japanese Oaks at Tokyo Racecourse, becoming the first female JRA jockey to win a JRA Grade 1 race. She achieved the landmark victory on her first ride in a Japanese Classic.
The page offers plenty of detail for horse racing fans to color, from the jockey's silks and helmet to the horse's bridle, hood, mane, and racing equipment.
Who Is Seina Imamura?
Seina Imamura was born on November 28, 2003, in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Horse racing was already part of her family, as her father, Yasunari Imamura, was also a JRA jockey.
She entered the JRA Horse Racing School in 2019 and graduated three years later. Her professional JRA career began in March 2022, when she was just 18.
It did not take long for people to notice her.
Imamura recorded her first JRA victory aboard Brabeio at Hanshin on March 13, 2022, on only her 17th career ride. That first success was quickly followed by many more during a remarkable rookie campaign.
A Record-Breaking First Season
Imamura's debut year established her as one of Japan's most exciting young jockeys.
Her breakthrough on the big stage came aboard T M Spada in the Grade 3 CBC Sho in July 2022. Imamura was making her first appearance in a graded race but rode T M Spada to a front-running victory in a Japanese record time of 1:05.8 for 1,200 metres.
She became the first female jockey to win on her graded-race debut and only the fourth rookie jockey since Japan introduced its graded system to achieve the feat.
By the end of that year, Imamura had set a new record for wins by a female JRA jockey in a single season and was named the JRA's Best Jockey (Newcomer).
Her success helped make her a familiar name well beyond Japan's regular racing audience.
Seina Imamura Makes History in the 2026 Japanese Oaks
Four years after her remarkable rookie season, Imamura produced the biggest victory of her career.
On May 24, 2026, she partnered Juryoku Pierrot in the Japanese Oaks, or Yushun Himba, at Tokyo Racecourse.
Juryoku Pierrot was sent off as the fifth choice in an 18-runner field. Imamura settled her towards the rear before finding a route through horses in the home straight. Juryoku Pierrot produced a strong late finish and defeated Dream Core by a neck, with only a length and a half separating the first six horses.
It was Imamura's first ride in a Classic and her first JRA Grade 1 victory.
More importantly, she became the first female jockey affiliated with the JRA to win a JRA Grade 1 race.
The result secured Imamura an important place in the history of Japanese horse racing at the age of just 22.
A Seina Imamura Drawing for Racing Fans
This Seina Imamura drawing focuses on the relationship between jockey and racehorse rather than showing a busy race finish.
Imamura is shown sitting confidently in the saddle and smiling towards the viewer. Her racing silks provide a large area where younger artists can add color, while the diamond pattern offers extra detail for anyone wanting a more careful finish.
The horse dominates the lower half of the page. Its hood, bridle, reins, mane, eyes, and facial markings can all be colored separately.
Horse racing fans could try to recreate real racing colors from one of Imamura's rides or design a completely new set of jockey silks.
The outdoor racecourse setting also leaves room for greens, blues, and natural shades around the main horse and rider.
Women in Japanese Horse Racing
Imamura is part of a small but increasingly visible group of female jockeys competing in Japanese racing.
Her rookie achievements had already shown that female riders could compete successfully within the JRA system. Her Japanese Oaks victory in 2026 took that story much further by putting a female JRA jockey in the winner's enclosure after one of Japan's biggest races.
The victory also came in one of the country's five Classic races, making the achievement particularly significant.
Imamura has continued riding since her Oaks success, adding another major chapter to a career that began with records being broken almost from the moment she entered professional racing.
